Why does the $YEAR not show in my new string $FILE_NAME??

$YEAR = "2008";
$NAME = "JOE SOMEBODY";

$FILE_NAME = "Calendar$YEAR_$NAME.xls";

Use this instead

$FILE_NAME = "Calendar" . $YEAR  . "_" . $NAME . ".xls";

php thinks your underscore is part of the variable name but since it does not exist is it empty
