Constants and command line scripts

I have a script that I am trying to execute from the command line in preparation for executing it on a cron. It seems that constants do not work on the command line. Can I get confirmation one way or the other on that?

umm... constants should work, as long as you code it properly... what does your code look like?

If you are talking about some built-in constants, it could be due to the fact that the command line interface runs under a separate configuration than the Apache SAPI, for instance, so there may be certain built-in constants available in one config but not in the other.
