disable or suspend account

hi, I'm new in php and i just finnished profile database and update record database, my next step is to create suspend account or disable account, if member want to disable or suspend account by click the check box, how do i can write that code in php with profile database!

I can't think of idea how to write that code if there is link where i can learn more!

The easiest way would probably be with a boolean field in the user database. Something like: is_active = 1, or is_active = 0. Then disallow login if the is_active field is set to 0.
