Extract help?

I have an HTML file.

the link into the index.html is seen as...

http://www.mydomain.com/tracker/a.php?campaign={campaign}&adgroup={adgroup}&keyword={keyword}&match_type={match_type}&ad={creative}&network={network}&source=google&z=6&b=2

soooo, then my browser then shows this as the link in the navigator bar:

http://www.mydomain.com/?a=12300&b=2&c1=

and I need the only link on the page to extract the A and B variable.

So I have this for the button/link:

<a href="http://www.mydomain.com/tracker/b.php?a=<?php echo $a;?>&b=<?php echo $b;?>"><img src="images/button.gif" border=0 width=432 height=89></a>

But it ohhhhhh so does not work. the link shows exactly what is above... and not a=12300&b=2... (which throws it into sql errors.)

Remember this is a HTML page....

What the heck am I missing! I hope this is enough info for you guys.

This is actually a very confusing question. For example, how did we get from:

http://www.mydomain.com/tracker/a.php?campaign=...

http://www.mydomain.com/?a=12300&b=2&c1=

Where does $a and $b come from? Or where should those variables come from? There are plenty of people here that would love to help you, but you really need to make your question much clearer if you expect responses.

Confusing indeed. I am looking at the query aspect of the url.. I do find the b variable (at the very end).. but I do not find any a.. I do however find an ad variable.

The query extracted part is this:
campaign={campaign}&adgroup={adgroup}&keyword={keyword}&match_type={match_type}&ad={creative}&network={network}&source=google&z=6&b=2

The b variable is in bold. So without the a variable, this is hard to resolve.

EDIT - To OP, did you say you are using Navigator?? Or do you mean navigator bar as in the URL bar?
