parse error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /homepages/14/d260373152/htdocs/home.php on line 1

I keep getting that when i try to go to the page i uploaded.
The page is in .php format im very new to this so please keep the rude comments to a minimum.
The code was to big for the post so i posted it on pastebin.

I didnt put it in any code language, if you tell me what to put in into ill do it!

Could be that your php settings have short_open_tag enabled, so that the <?xml . . . ?> tag is interpreted as PHP code. If so, you may need to echo the XML declaration within a PHP block. For that matter, you can just leave the XML declaration out completely if you want. (Yet another reason I stick with HTML unless somebody absolutely requires that I serve up XHTML.)

Assuming that fixes the problem, you'll then also find out that there is an ELSE clause that does not have a closing "}" for another parse error.

Short tag means:

this is the long tag of a php block:

<?php

and here is the short tag of a php block,

<? ?>

And ih the 4. line you have an XML header command which starts like a php short tag.

But let us show the content of that session.php, beacouse i might have the problem.

If the error is really on line 1 and all that is on that line is the <?php tag, then all I can think of is your editor is putting some non-printing character in there. Try to make sure there is nothing else on that line, maybe make sure the editor is saving it as plain text, try a different editor, etc....

If the problem is the <?xml...?> tag, try just deleting that tag completely and see what happens.
