Help Installing php 5.2.6 to apache 2.0.63

Hi Guys
I am new to php my first install and already i have fallen over
Can any one help her please

As stated above i am trying to install php 5.2.6 to apache 2.0.63
All went well until i am trying to follow another install instruction for 5.2.3 clos but not the same got as far as Fig 16
at http://www.sebastiansulinski.co.uk/web_design_tutorials/web_server/installing_apache_php_mysql_b.php

but cannot find any reference to php.ini-recommended.

Can anyone help her please as i am unable to finish the install.

checked out your links found some info. but nothing to help with my issue

I have done some reading, lot more to do
but my issue still remains as to the straightforward install of PHP to my php folder
most of what i have read still refers me to the ini files which still seem to be missing
I have checked what files i have checked the files against what the docs say i should have.

I have reinstalled this twice now and come back with the same thing, can any one shed some light on this.
