php input form data to empty array how is it done?

what i need to do is.

create a empty array

create a form where the user can input his three favourite food/meals

when hit submit

on the first line prints out the element of the 2 place in the array

on the second line replaces the element of the 2 place in the array

I would appreciate alot if somebody could give me a full code example of how this is done

I understand the basics of arrays thats as far as it goes

Sounds like homework to me.

Also, this makes no sense, to me at least.

$array[1] = $array[0]; // replaces 2nd array element with the first element

Give us better examples, draws maybe, i don't understand what you want to do.

I understand, while you say 3 input from the user.

You mut create the user's order about that list ?
