fopen

hi all..

i have this busy application that makes queries to remote machines through fopen all the time. lately i see in the logs from time to time:
"failed to open stream: Operation not permitted"

the application usually does 7 queries in a row.... and i see it just for one of those - usually the last one.... which means that the 6 queries were processed normally before that. and it doesn't happened all the time it's just from time to time. queries are well formed. i checked.

any particular reason?

If they are remote machines and there is no pattern to the error, I wonder if maybe you are just seeing a network time-out. I know that isn't what the error says, but maybe "not permitted" means that credentials aren't being passed on time.

Just a guess.
