[RESOLVED] scroll bars

I apologize in advance because I am using php but the question in general is more html related so please forgive me. I am using php and mysql to call up info in a text area which has a scroll bar on the right hand side as most text areas do. I am calling up my info into this text area. The text appears from top to bottom and you may scroll down using the scroll bar. My question is, is it possible to have the text appear in the opposite order so that the scroll bar moves from bottom to top and you would have to scroll up instead?

It's possible, using JavaScript to scroll it to the bottom, e.g.:

var objDiv = document.getElementById("divExample");
objDiv.scrollTop = objDiv.scrollHeight;
