Move Code Critique Forum

I'd like to request that the Code Critique sub-forum be moved to the PHP Help forum, both because I think it would be more appropriate than it's current home in the Discussion forum while also giving it more visibility.

I would even go so far as to suggest the following:

Merge General Help, Newbies and Coding into one all purpose 'Coding Help' forum, as I see plenty of posts that fit in all three categories all scattered across all three forums.. They are all pretty much code help related.

I have often wondered if there is truly a benefit given how many misplaced posts are flying around. But since you bring this up, I figured I'd offer my observations as well.

I think the Newbies forum serves a useful purpose of providing a less intimidating place for n00bs to post, as presumably it's understood they're new to PHP and hopefully any potential PHP self-appointed-expert snobs will just avoid that forum.

It's probably pretty scary, 'cause that high horse is on top of an ivory tower. Hmmm..., that's probably why some of his responses continue to go over my head.

PS: I see the critique forum has been moved. Gives me a real sense of accomplishment: in the same week I've had a forum changed per my request and a fix implemented to the Aptana PHP plug-in beta per a bug report I submitted. Now if I could just get the rest of the world to listen to my logical suggestions, we'd all be better off.

Well then.. if everything is going your way, perhaps you can do me a non related web request favor. My favorite 3d modeling software developer (softimage) has been swallowed up by its largest rival (Autodesk) yesterday 🙁 Not many people are happy... the comments over at the largest art-related forum around called cgsociety a.k.a (cgtalk) are not too happy (nor am I). The 3d industry has pretty much become a monopoly (which we know is never a good thing).

So if you could, you know, ask Autodesk to relinquish ownership of my beloved Softimage XSI, that would be great.. because my whole weekend is ruined by this acquisition. I feel like my heart has been ripped out and chucked into a wood chipper 🙁
