image scaling issue

Hi.
I have a question.

In bulletin board on myspace or in other sites when people post images, for instance flyers, they sometimes are bigger than the tables. And when posted they stick out of the table.
so i guess it is scaling issue.
I want to know how to have images automatically scaled, when lets say someone posts a flyer and it goes outside the table.

You would want to use the [man]gd[/man] or [man]imagick[/man] functions to proportionally resize the image.

I know there are tutorials for this as well as posts on this board about it.
