License no within files

What would be the best way to have a user install a script but before this could happen would need to login to the installer by providing a valid client id.

I need something in which the software/script resides on the server not within a public accessible place. When someone registers and then tries to download the script/software it copies it and places their client id somewhere in the license.

Also adding the license number in all php files would be good too. Something like how vbulletin does it.

I know how to open a file, read and write etc.

I've written a basic template script that reads a tpl file and replaces values {welcome.message} to Welcome to our site; for example.

I need something robust and would need to be able to handle concurrent users just in case.

Any help on either the first mentioned, last or both is highly appreciated.

After logged in,

place the files in a zip file, and let that safe with .htaccess and .htpassword, not to able to get it with a directlink.:

$zip = new ZipArchive();
$filename = "$dir_userid/download.zip";
if ($zip->open($filename, ZIPARCHIVE::CREATE)!==TRUE) {
exit("cannot open <$filename>\n");
}

$zip->addFile("$dir_userid/$file_name1","/$file_name1");

$zip->close();

then create a get.php which will download this zip , before check a user login.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion but that does not answer the question.

If anything I would put the files outside of the public_html directory. What I'm asking for is on the or on first access writing a license no. to all php files.

Client A license no. = 10098
Client B license no. = 10112
