Coping Filenames with commas

I have a lot of legacy files required to be copied but some these filenames have commas in them; eg "this is a, test.jpg".

"copy" bombs out on these file, and passthru(copy "filename","source") is a pain,

Suggestions???

i use this, and works...

$what="a, a.txt";
$where="a ,,,.txt";
copy("$what","$where");

Note that the quote characters in djjjozsi's copy() line are unnecessary: $what and $where are already strings.

Thanks djjjozsi, i gave it a try but no joy,
here is a sample source file name "1921-1923 landscape, buildings, students.jpg"
the destination is hashed value so that will always work.

Maybe it is the operating system ???
I know i can copy with a comma in the shell eg copy "comma, comma.jpg", "newName.jpg"

And maybe I should just do that, but I like keeping things neatly within PHP for obvious reasons.

Shouldn't be any problem (read: djjjozsi's code works for me on Windows - and so does your file name). Perhaps if we could see what you're actually doing it would be easier. Are you getting any error messages? What are they?
