Years, Months and days between two dates.

I have a birth date and a death date.
What I need is the number of years, months and days between the two dates.
Does anyone have any idea of coding this as I have been trying for about 2 hours and my brain is fried and now none of my code makes sense.

The Date is stored in a MySQL Database as Date... mm-dd-yyyy
