Problem with mcrypt

I have tried to build a new auction site using probid 6.03 and noticed have the problem is when a person tries to submit an auction or fund their account they get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function ppb_mcrypt_encode() in /public_html/auction/includes/class_fees.php on line 460

I have searched and searched trying to find an answer but have found nothing.

It is not in the file permissions.
My server has the support enable for mcrypt as follows:

mcrypt support enabled
Version 2.5.7

Api No 20021217

Supported ciphers cast-128 gost rijndael-128 twofish arcfour cast-256 loki97 rijndael-192 saferplus wake blowfish-compat des rijndael-256 serpent xtea blowfish enigma rc2 tripledes

Is there something missing on this system enabling that I should contact them about?

I have contacted probid support but have heard nothing, can anyone figure out what the problem could be?

I have spent the past 6 and a half hours trying to figure this out, so far, nothing!

ppb_mcrypt_encode() is not a PHP built-in function, so presumably it's supposed to be defined somewhere in the application code. To debug you'd need to search through the source and any files it includes/requires to find where it's defined, and see if there is any sort of conditions placed on whether or not it gets defined.

It might help to add the following to the start of the class_fees.php file to see if you get any more debug info:
