How to display list of emails with different charsets?

Hello,

A few days ago I purchased Socketmail Lite licence and disvovered a big problem with this script.

Socketmail all emails shows in utf-8. So, if someone sends me an email using ISO-8859-1, Socketmail will display it in utf-8 anyway, and all non-english characters will show up as "�", but sender as "=?ISO-8859-1?Q?Port.. ".
All emails in German, French, Spanish and other languages are unreadable in Socketmail if charset is other than utf-8.

I contacted Socketmail Support, but the only answer what i got is "you should alter the code".

Can anyone give me some advice what can be done to display correctly the list of emails with different charsets on the same page?
