I need help again please

Im trying to upload a picture into my database and Im getting the following error -
"Error: Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes". Its just a 1.2MB picture - and im using "Longblob" type .
Does anybody know what could be causing this please? Thanks v much.

Try googling max_allowed_packet and you'll be referred to results in the mysql docs. I think you might need to change your mysql config or something.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have actually been googling it but cant really find anything that helps. It seems I should be able to send 16mb .... and my picture is only 1.2mb .......

Ok, Ive just found my server setting is 1.048. So I think thats the problem? But Im not sure how to change it. Mysql says "add the following lines in an option file:
[mysqld]
max_allowed_packet=16M

.... but I would have a better idea of how to get a rocket to the moon. I have plesk - I dont suppose you know if this is where I should be looking?

Unless I'm mistaken, plesk is a front-end that might be supplied to you by your hosting provider. I seriously doubt you will be able to change this value yourself if you are using a hosting provider. If you ARE using some hosting provider to host your site, ask them about changing the setting. I'm not certain, but I believe it's in the mysql INI file, meaning that someone will have to edit the INI file and then restart the mysql service.

Ask your hosting provider. If you have complete control over your server (i.e., root-level access) then you should check out the installation guide:
