Video Link Help!!!!

Can anyone help??

At the company I work for, we have been asked to create a website that has a header at the top, then a 778px by 400px video in the middle and then a footer at the bottom.

The client wants the video to link to a mailto: when clicked on. Is this possible to code in PHP if the video file is uploaded to the server?😕

Php is a server side technology. If the video is based on flash, you could use the MouseEvent.CLICK event to trigger a function to redirect the user.

I guess you could also overlay the video with a transparent div containing the link. But that would impair the interactivity of the video.

If the video was just playing on a continual loop, so didn't need to be interacted with, would the transparent div then work?

I have never tried it, but I don't see why the div solution wouldn't work. On the other hand the Actionscript solution is far more elegant. If you have access to the source code of the video, I'd be happy to help you out with the code.
