HELP!!

Hi i am new to php and am looking for help. I am wanting to create a user log in with PHP but i want to create it in a way that each user has his or her own personal account page. So for example John Doe logs in and automatically comes up to his account info. That no one can see but him. Same goes with any other user.

There are many tutorials on this subject, search on your preferred search engine or in this forum for log-in system, authentication, user accounts etc.

To present your users with a personalized home page, you need to store their preferences in a "preferences" table in your database, and simply draw from that table as you build their custom welcome page. Of course you associate the records in that table with the ones in your log-in table by a common key (account#, id etc).

ok here is my table as of right now

CREATE TABLE users (ID MEDIUMINT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, username VARCHAR(60), password VARCHAR(60))

So your saying within this i need to create a preference table with a account id. could you give me a example of what i need to do. I understand the table i have now, how do i direct the user to his or her page.

No, the preferences table I alluded to, was an example. You need to create tables to meet your needs. Ask yourself what you need to store and go from there. You could then use the "id" field from your table "users" in your other table(s) so that you can relate those records with their respective users.
