adding a break in a name field to prevent break outs and delete records after 30 days

Alright, Thanks for helping me guys on my last question. Now i have a two different items like to add...

When someone submits the prayers and they place their name in the field... I say something like... $name, thank you for submitting your prayer.

If the name is long it will break my website up. Is there a command to say.. if name is over x amount of characters <br> it to not allow it to break it up?

Also, when the prayers been there for 30 days. what is the command for either deleteing them after 30 days based on the original timestamp or having them moved to another table for back up storage of the prayers.

You could use [man]wordwrap/man, though CSS may suffice (but I'm weak in CSS).

You could just keep them in the table and only show prayers within the past 30 days unless the user requests to view the archive.
