Yeah, I think we discussed it some time ago. I was definitely a "Redskin": class of '78. 🙂 Four years in the Miami Marching Machine got me two bus trips to Disney World and the Tangerine Bowl (now the Citrus Bowl, I think?).

I even bought a "Redhawks" shirt the last year Big Ben was there and they were actually ranked in the top 25.

That's not my hosted image... someone elses... but yeah... the file/path name is pure junk.

I would have been a Roethlisberger fan UNTIL he said "screw the team" with his off-season attitude when he decided to wreck his bike. There are certain times when you have to ask yourself "Should I as a leader of XX organization really be doing this?" (insert sly comment about Gov. G.H. Bush here...).

Sure, it was poor judgment, but I really don't think he consciously thought, "Screw the team, I'm going to be stupid and ride my motorcycle without a helmet and then crash it on purpose so that I can miss a bunch of games." He was in his younger twenties and as stupid as most young men in their younger twenties, that's all; and I'll bet he never rides without a helmet again, if, in fact, he ever rides a motorcycle again. :eek:

And I suppose no player on the Ravens has never done anything stupid or in poor judgment and was simply lucky enough not to suffer the consequences? 😕

At least (so far) he hasn't been (caught) on a party boat with prostitutes, alleged to have tried to put a hit on someone at a strip joint, under suspicion for a shooting at a car wash he owns; nor has he shot himself with an unlicensed gun!

Meh... Something that was not a story but should have been: 19 straight weeks. The Ravens had NO "bye week" during this season because of the hurricane, and they went 11-5 regular season and 2-1 post season. I don't know of any other team that has done that (sans Houston since they didn't make it into the playoffs).

Oh well.. time to root for the AFC champs...

Eh, I remember when there were no bye weeks at all. But then I also remember when the regular season was only 14 games (which made the Dolphins' perfect season easier to accomplish than it is now). In fact I also remember when there was no Super Bowl. :eek:

Oh well, time for all the "trade McNabb" pleas to start again. :rolleyes:

haha... I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the Ravens did. Yes they lost; however, that's not really that shocking considering their opponent, and how many dangerous hits they put on us (i.e. Corey Ivy and McGahee).

I'm still proud of the Ravens. I have to be. First real winning season since... umm... like 7 years ago. This was just a tough game that we lost.

The Eagles on the other hand just didn't seem to want it. From the last quarters of the game I saw, I didn't see any passion or hunger in any Eagle. Gotta want it to win 😉
