Editing account details!

Hello,

I already have this little script with pages that are protected by passwords.
Every user has his own username and password.
Now I want to make a page ( see the file 'protected.php' ), protected by these passwords, with input fields for when a sertain user logges in, he can change some information on his part of the 'admins.php' file.
Example: 'admins.php?user1' etc...
But I've absolutely no idea how :s

my opinion is,
i think its not an effective way to make user registration, and profile editing.
You hardcoded the users.... i think you're on a wrong direction.
