Hey there,
I don't know if this is the forum to ask this on or not, but I honestly don't know where else to go. Here a couple of weeks ago I was searching for an Open Source script that was considered a "Flickr clone" script, but I had no luck finding one. The biggest reason no doubt is the social networking feature of it and I do not need this feature at all.
What I'm trying to find is a simple script that allows me to upload JPG's to a folder of my specification, perhaps under preferences, and then specify dimensions for a thumbnail and then the large image as well as desired quality output. The script will resize the image, discarding the original file of course, then produce a thumbnail that links to the large image and a URL link to the large JPG file for ease of embedding in webpages.
The purpose of this script is not to make a photo sharing website, but instead be more of a personal index and an easy way to resize my photos without having to launch photoshop every time I need to quickly add an image. Also by producing the embed link, it makes it even easier.
I'm curious if someone would be interested in creating this as an open source project or if anyone can tell me where to go to request this.
Thank you very much for your help!
