Installed apache to run PHP but httpd.conf is missing!

I'm trying to install Mysql, Apache and PHP in my laptop but for some reason its giving me an error and when I look for httpd.conf I couldn't find it in the Apache2/conf directory. I'm using a starter kit CD to install these three and because of this I couldn't continue reading the book because I could not install this properly. Please help, I'm really new at this? 😕

you coudl get an example httpd.conf file by googling or you can just install one of the several WAMP installers to do it all automatically.

Or simply download Apache from the official Apache website (and likewise for the other components).
