PHP Errors after switching servers

I had a quick question since I don't know very much about extensive PHP usage. My friends family owns a company and they just switched servers and copied their site over to the new one. On every form page they get an error. This is one of the errors from the inventory page:

ERROR CODE: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /usr/home/novawafers/htmldocs/inc/inventory_class.php on line 291

What could be going on? Are the PHP files not moved to the right location? Or is the server not supporting it? Help!!! Please?!?

My first guess would be that you have code using some of the newer PHP5 class/object features but are running it under PHP4 on the new server. Seeing the source code in question would probably help, though (for now just line 291 plus several lines before it). It would also help to check what version of PHP is being used. (You can just run the [man]phpversion/man function to check, echoing out its result.)
