I'm not sure what is it, php or javascript or idk but i would like to know how i can do that

on that page, when u click on a link it opens a new windows nd block the old one then when u close the new windows u will be able to use the old one

no its not. lightbox is for images.

its hard to tell which one (if it's even open source) it is, but i know thickbox supports text/multimedia.

try looking at the source code of the site. chances are the it's javascript and the script (& authors web address) will be available in the source.

also you can search for "javascript preview", "javascript dialog box", etc to find some open source ones.
