image library: cutting a picture into stripes

Hi @ all,

i would like to load a picture and then cut it into stipres (10 x 200 pixel length stripes). Before starting coding, i would likt to ask, if you have any idea. The end result would be, that i load two different stripes and than put them differently together. so that at the and one picture is outputted with mix of the two selected pictures.
