Looking for a web based book/magazine management tool.

I am looking for a library type book and magazine management tool to keep track of the books and magazines that we have in our bookcase at work for employees to borrow.

I would like to be able to allow users to access a site to search for publications and flag a title to say that they are currently using it.

Does anyone know if any such application exists?

There are a ton of great programs already created for this exact thing. Doing a simple Google search for "Book Database for Home" turned up a ton of results. This link http://www.collectorz.com/book/features.php is just one of many and some of its features are:

I am not sure on the price or all the details but it does allow you to just scan the book barcode or punch in the ISBN and get all the information about the book so you don't have to enter all the data. Looks like this company also has software for Games, Comic Books, Movies .... the list goes on.

Anyhow my point is I am sure you will be able to find something relatively inexpensive or maybe even free with a little looking on Google.

This has also sparked my interest cause I have a collection of Games, Movies and Books that my friends keep trying to walk off with... :mad: LOL
