Help??

I've asked this question on the board dozens of time and get no response. So Here we go..

I'm trying to stop users from being able to set the same data twice on a form.. I've been told to drop/unset the variables or session but this would log them out from their account.. or the variable wouldn't exist which would mean it wouldn't submit the data. I need help making a simple include page that would have this inserted into each page to stop people from being able to flood the DB on pages where they can submit data.

Any help would be appreciated.

As to your question, I hesitate to provide a specific solution as I do not fully understand the problem domain. Is your desire to "throttle" user submissions, e.g.: they can only make one submission per some unit of time; or do you want to prevent users from making duplicate submissions (such as only being allowed to vote once on a poll or rating subject; or something else?

Certainly it's why I took so long to look. I'd run out of other threads to look at.
