The problem:
Have an issue where values in form fields, like prices, etc, are displayed as wierd characters. However, on the front end (ie: no form) the values are fine, and when read directly from the database the values appear fine. I'm perplexed.
The events causing the problem:
My client has a big database. And one froogle feed it generates is really taxing on the CPU. So the hosting company shut him down and moved him to a virtual private machine. The only problem I have with this is they moved it, I did not. And of course now the admin panel is all messed up in that values displayed as described above.
The plea for help:
So what's wrong? The code hasn't changed. I've moved this site 2 or 3 times without incidence. I don't know how they moved it or what they did, but it seems unhappy. And the admin panel is essentially unusable as is. I'm just looking for a direction to point the hosting company in so they can fix it, since it is, as far as I can tell, not an issue with the code.
