Extensions allowed in email attachments

I am searching for the extensions that are allowed when sending email with attachments. So, which are the basic extensions that are allowed when sending email with attachments. Thanks in advance.

Assuming that by "extensions" we're talking about file name suffixes: they are all allowed, as far as I know. While Windows cares about file name suffixes, UNIX/Linux don't care at all (although there are conventions that are typically followed, the operating system doesn't care).

no what i want is the extensions which can be allowed in mail attachments for example google doesn't allow .exe extension in email attachment. so, i am searching for the list of extensions that are allowed as email attachments that most of the email services allow.
