i wish to cancel out srt_replaces in a text area how could i do this

I'm clueless as well. There's no Ctrl+Z or magic "undo" in PHP, so you've got two options:
Make your script 'intelligent' and not do the str_replace()'s in the first place, or
Do the str_replace()'s again but swap the search/replacement parameters
in my script there is a header.php page and it has a list of str_replace's that work for the entire script. i wish to cancel out the str_replace function in a text area on a diiferent page the has header.php included.
makes a little more sense, so only parse the stings you want to to str_replace not the stings you don't want to.
Yeah i know, sounds obvious.
