[RESOLVED] Help with 3 level menu

I need some help with 3 level menu.

I have a mysql table with 3 columns id,name,parent with the data
1,Cat1,0
2,child1,1
3,child2,1
4,Cat2,0
5,child1,4
6,child2,4
7,subchild1,2
8,subchild2,2
9,Cat3,0

I need to display menu like this
Cat1 | Cat2 | Cat3

When user clicks on Cat1 then you see children
child1 | child2

when user click on child1 then you see sub children
subchild1 | subchild2

Some times category's have no children like Cat3 then I have to show content of that page but stay on parent menu, same is for children

Does anybody have experience with this kind of menu

This is really nothing more than a child-parent relationship. So if you start at the base page, then you would query for the "root" items:

SELECT * FROM `nav` WHERE `parent` = 0;

Then the menu would add links like:

?cat=<?php $row['id']; ?>

Then on sub-pages you would just query for the items that have a parent of $GET['cat']:

SELECT * FROM `nav` WHERE `parent` = {$_GET[id]};

Now, what to do about the last level of nav? Well, we write a function to recursively find the navigation.

    $query = "SELECT `id`, `title`, `parent` FROM `nav` WHERE `parent` = ".intval($id);
    $result = mysql_query($query);

// If there are no sub-links, get the current level links

    {

    return getCurrentNav($row['parent']);

$nav = array();
while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result))
{
    $nav[$row['id']] = $row['name'];
}

return $nav;
}

Something like that. Hope it helps.
