[RESOLVED] PHP Imap working very slowly

Hello,
I am using PHP Imap for fetching mails of gmail and yahoo. But it works very slowly. From the gmail it fetches slightly quicker than yahoo. But for the yahoo it takes a long time to fetch. Is there any way to optimize imap fetching? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

My guess is that most of the delay is the internet connection connection and transfer times from the mail host and that mail host's processing and response time, not your PHP script.

But according to me internet connection speed isn't the matter. If I open the same email via their environment lets say in gmail or yahoo then it opens perfectly. So, is there any other reason that will be causing the mail fetching process slower?

problem solved.. I was fetching the gmail mails via pop as soon as i have changed it to imap problem got solved... HTH..
