Self-contained email form

Trying to create a self-contained email form that will POST when "Submit" is hit. Only I have to hand this over to someone else to send. Granted I am fairly new to PHP and having to create a self-contained email, so the following questions may be strange.

What are the steps I should tell them on how to create this email. I mean I have all the code but don't know how to explain it to them.

Do they know how to send an email? If they do, then all they really need to know is what fields you'll be passing them (i.e. first_name, last_name, etc.). Also, they may need to know the format you want it sent out in (or what the form looks like).

If they don't know how to send an email, what are you trying to accomplish? Is this like you sending an email from your script via SMTP instead of sendmail?
