Question on PSPELL ext on PHP 5.3.0 (PHP 5.3.0RC2)

Good Day all,
I'm a newbie to the world of PHP so I'm hoping someone with more knowledge of "things to come" can answer my question.

I'm currently running a version of PHP 5.2??? (can't remember the exact version as I don't have the system accessible to me right now). I'm doing some resarch from home and noticed that there's a new RC for PHP.

In the release notes (http://www.php.net/archive/2009.php#id2009-03-24-1) it mentions that pspell ext has been removed. I have an application that relies on this.

Can someone tell me why this has been removed in the 5.3.x version and will it come back or???

My guess (and that's all it is) is that pspell will be relegated to being an optional PECL extension (and one that will no longer be maintained), allowing you to still use it, but perhaps indicating that you start considering the advisability of migrating to the [man]enchant[/man] extension.
