[RESOLVED] Change Time zone

Hi all

If a certain condition is met in my code, I neet to change the current server time (GMT) to become minus 6 hours (which is CST).

I do not need to change the default timezone globally which the person is using the site, I just need to use it within an if statement - can someone help and show me how to do this?

Thanks for reading but I have just decided to use the following:

// change it to be US Central
date_default_timezone_set('US/Central');
echo date('t/n/Y g:i:s a') . "<br />";

// then change it back
date_default_timezone_set('Europe/London');
echo date('t/n/Y g:i:s a');
