How to write a file or webpage report to CD

In my application i have a Burn to CD button, on clicking it the webpage data or pdf file should be burned to a CD..
I would like to know if there is way in which we can burn a webpage report or a pdf file to a CD on a button click in a php application.
If yes, then how.
If not, then how can i open a CD burning application from my application.

Basically put you cannot interface with a users CD burner from a website. It would be great fun to freak people out though.

The only solution I can see is to pass an ISO (or equivalent) image as a download. Then if the user has something that knows what to open a disk image in. It should fire up and take over, if the user selects open instead of download. Disk images can be very large though regardless of how much information you want to burn.

To me there are to many 'if's to make it a viable option. You have to hope the user has a cd burner, has software that understand a disk image, the user opens instead of saving. I would advise removing the button.
