The hard truth is that money talks. You need to hire an admin.
We love to help people in this forum but no amount of questions/answers in this forum are going to solve your problem.
Problem #1: You don't know what server you're on, where's it's located, or what the passwords are.
Solution: If this is a paid service, find out who is paying the bill. They can tell you where they send a check or where they pay the invoice with a credit card. If you're sure someone is paying the bills but you don't know who, do a whois on the domain name and make some phone calls andfollow some URL's - with a little research, you'll find out where the site is located. From there, you'll be able to get a username and password for the site. If this is not a paid service (some free forums like Yahoo Forums or something), contact the free service and you might be able to find out the owner of the free account. Do a password request and see who gets the email. If you explain the situation, they might contact the owner of the account for you and tell him that you're looking for him. Heck, you might even be able to use the forums themselves to post a message to the admin.
Problem #2: You don't know how to edit problems in the database and you're screwed if the server goes down.
Solution: Find an admin. Hire someone to organize the situation. Let her edit the database if need be. Then have her give you the instructions and information on how to protect yourself (where the server is located, username, password, server information, etc). You're not actually going to USE this information... just make sure that she gives it to you. This way, if she gets hit by a bus or disappears (like the guy and his father did), then you don't have to start from step 1. You can hire a new admin and be protected again in case there's a server outage.
You said that you are able to save the database. So you must have some username or password or something. The URL of the site that you connect to is your biggest lead towards finding out where the site is located.
