[RESOLVED] GMT back to Local Server

So I have a script that will be deployed on many different servers around the world. Initially, a person enters a start time for the event and then its converted to a GMT time stamp for the database.

However, when editing the event, the time still reads GMT. How can I get the time stamp back in the servers local time?

I think I figured it. It makes more sense to store my timestamp in local time. Then when I get ready to convert it to a timezone change it to GMT. Sorry, posting on forums always helps me rethink the approach to a problem not to mention my post count OMG!!
