Joining this forum is my first step to learning PHP, Hello to you all. I am building my server, and my hosting account isn't ready.
So can I install all I need to practice on my laptop?
welcome, and yes there's a number of single installs that will provide php/Apache/mysql:
http://www.wampserver.com/en/
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html
or do all three your self:

I've only ever read 1 php book, i much prefer using the web.
