REGEX formula

Just a little REGEX problem, i need some pattern.

<UL>
  <LI>Location: Any Location Georgia 
  <LI>it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial 
  interests 
  <LI>Compensation: no pay </LI>
</UL>

I just want to get the two words after Compensation:

please note that these two words after compensation is dynamic.

Simple pattern:

@(?<=Compensation: ).*(?= </li)@i

wren: why not try both? you'll learn a little that way 🙂

I just gave you a PCRE pattern; you can use it with any of the preg_*() functions. You'll probably want to pick the one that best suits your needs, however. Read through the descriptions of the various functions to find out which one is most applicable.

Regex takes more than a month to master...

Yes I did.. and it helped me a hell of a lot. Definitely worth it if you want to understand regex's strength and weaknesses (while there are many ways to solve a problem, some ways are smarter / faster than others).
