I'm new here, also new to php/mysql and I'm having a few problems with a website I'm creating. This looked like a good place to try and get some help!
I am allowing users to submit data to my mysql database which includes
foreign/international characters. Once these characters have been added they then display in the database as the following - %u0391%u03BD%u03B8%u03BF%u03CD%u03C3%u03B1 (this is an example of Greek characters).
I can only seem to output this string as it appears in my database.
Could somebody suggest a method I could use to convert this back to
the normal characters which were originally submitted?
I've read about utf-8 and encoding/decoding but can't seem to get anything to work.
