Ending scripts with ?> or not?

I have noticed some developers will not end their php scripts with the "?>", if that particular script is called by another.

I'm sure this is a preference by the individual, but I thought I'd ask if there is some other reason that makes it worth practicing.

Leaving ?> out of the script is good practice if you dont want anything else to be printed after that. It doesnt hurt plus you dont accidently get extra output after your script. For example I bet 50% of the "headers already sent" -problems are because of whitespaces at the end of some include file 🙂

This behaviour is also in many Framework's "Coding standards" (for example Code Igniter and Zend FW).
