Email and /r/n/r

Hi all you lovely coders.

i have designed a little it helpdesk system that once a user logs a fault an email is automaticcally sent showing certain feilds.

these are working ok aprt from the main field te user filled in. normal people press return once or twice having completed a line of text to either start a new line or paragraph. this stores /r/n/r to the variable and i cannot get them to remove for the sending of the email, i have been able to for a simple echo but not email

can any of you advice what i must do the variable i wish to sent in the email. heres my email seding code. it is the faulty2 feild which is the problem.

as i said, everything else works fine.

For one, if you're referring to line breaks and carriage returns, then the escape sequences in PHP double-quoted strings would be \n and \r using a backslash, not a forward slash.

As for your problem, if you're trying to strip out all line breaks from a string, just use [man]str_replace/man to replace the two characters (separately) with an empty string.
