Any idea on how I can simulate high traffic on a development environment. I need to test php and mysql with up to 10,000 concurrent connections.
Also, I am being tossed into a huge project and I have never dealt with the high traffic, huge database arena before. Are there any articles related to projects dealing with lots of traffic and huge databases and what to do and what not to do in php/mysql, or any tips you might have would be great.
I am also going to be dealing with a database that has hundreds of millions of records.
Note: nothing exists right now this is a start from scratch project.
