Code layout on blogs

Hi,

I've started writing some simple tutorials and I'd like to acquire that cool look of the code statements I see on many blogs...the lines are numbered and the whole code is nice looking...

Do I have to make it on my own or how can I do that?

it's called syntax highlighting; there are plenty of open source scripts that you can add/integrate to your blog via google; or you can use a function like [man]highlight_string/man if you want to keep things simple
