Out of memory

Here is the error message:

"Out of memory; check if mysqld or some other process uses all available memory; if not, you may have to use 'ulimit' to allow mysqld to use more memory or you can add more swap space"

My question: What is "ulimit"? I check the php.ini file and it's not in there, so how do I modify it?

its a mysql error it will be in the mysql config files not the php ones.

Even the MySQL site has no info on this. Can't be that uncommon.

You array for information after select from query maybe to large;
