Yeah...in fact I tested it with a URI before posting, as I wasn't 100% sure what it would do with what was not, strictly speaking, a file path-name -- though I suppose you could consider that, in effect, a URI is a file path-name as much as, say, a path-name to a file on a network disk (or even a symbolic link to same)?
