Maximum execution time fatal error - from one particular network

Hi,

Where having a really weird problem on one of our websites in that users on one particular computer network are getting maximum execution time errors, but it's limited to users on that network. The error occurs before PHP has even started executing any code, it happens just 5 lines in whilst including a file which just contains some constant definitions.

We are completely lost and have no idea what could cause this problem?!

I'm assuming the file that defines constants does some sort of network lookup - gethostnamebyip or similar, and that's why it's failing, but not enough information to guess further.

Thanks for the reply.

The constants file only sets the constants to fixed values, either int or string, no functions are called up to this point in the script, except session_start().

Although there is an IP lookup much later in the code, so i'll check that out anyway just incase PHP isn't reporting where the timeout occured correctly.
